Sight glass is also known as sight window, view port and flow indicator in sometimes, which is an observation window that allows operator to observe fluid stored under high temperatures, extreme pressures, and other extreme environmental conditions. Sight glasses are critical instruments used in the process industries to determine the condition and level of fluids and media in both tanks and pipelines. Sight glass is typically made of high temperature resistance robust toughened glass substrates, which are connected with pipes or vessels through the metal flange.

Sight glasses are divided into round, square, rectangular sight glasses by their shape and according to different structures, sight glasses are divided lined/non lined sight glass , sight glass with neck, sight glass with hood, double window/single window, insulated sight glass, sight glass with scrapers, sight glass with flushing device and suitable for sight glasses for powdered materials. Sight glass connection can be flanged, thread and welding.

Double window sight glass includes two observation windows and a valve body, the valve body includes a liquid channel and a vertical observation channel, the end of the liquid channel is provided with a pipe connection flange, we can observe medium through the observation channel, the sight glass connection flange is connected to the gland, we will fix the two glass between the connection flange and the gland. this can make operator easily see through the sight glass, and easily observe in both side and flange connection is easy maintenance.
