Ultrasonic level sensor is a microprocessor controlled digital level gauge, used to measure the height of liquids, tank height, and material position. In the measurement, pulsed ultrasonic waves are emitted by the sensor (transducer), the pulse passes through the air, reflects on the liquid or object surface and returns to the sensor, where it is converted into an electrical signal. The time between the transmission and reception of the sound wave is used to calculate the distance from the transducer to the object to be measured and to obtain the height of the liquid level.
Because the ultrasonic level sensor does not contact with the liquid, its performance is not affected by corrosive and erosive chemical properties and it will not contaminate the measured medium, so the measured medium is almost unlimited, can be widely used in a variety of liquid and solid materials height measurement and real-time feedback of liquid level information, achieving intelligent monitoring and management.
