Borosilicate Glass Tube is a type of glass with silica and boron trioxide as the main glass-forming constituents. Borosilicate glass tube is usually used in tubular level gauge for high temperature and pressure resistance, which is also known as tubular gauge glass, pyrex glass tube.Borosilicate glass tubes are known for having very low coefficient of thermal expansion (3.3 × 10−6 K−1 at 20 °C), it can cope with temperatures up to 500°C for short periods, making them more resistant to thermal shock than any other common glass.
Borosilicate Glass Tube can be used to monitor chemicals, petroleum products, and steam without worrying about the piece cracking or clouding and won’t corrode or weaken when exposed to caustic or acidic fluids. It can be divided into standard size and heavy wall size according to the wall thickness. The standard size tubular glass is commonly used in low pressure boiler, tanks and some other low pressure instruments. The heavy wall type is suitable to high pressure environment, such as crude oil and water, gas flow meter or acid and alkali containers.
You can upgrade to redline and multicolor alternatives if your liquid is colorless and the transparency of the tube makes it difficult to see what’s happening to it.
