Sight glass is a device that allows you to see the status of a liquid, powder or gas in your internal production system without opening the vessel or mechanical equipment. It is one of the most important accessories of industrial piping equipment, also known as glass tube sight glass, sight glass, lead sight glass, tube type sight glass.
Sight glass is mainly composed of tempered borosilicate glass, flange, receiver and so on. According to shape, sight glass is divided into round and rectangular sight glass. According to application, it is divided into peep sight and light sight. According to the structure, it is divided into lined and unlined, with a neck, with a cover, with double safety, with insulation, with a scraper, with a flushing sight glass and suitable for powdery materials with a sight glass.

Precautions to be taken when the sight glass is in use:
①. Sight glass is used to observe the liquid, gas, steam and other media flow reaction equipment, its window glass should be kept clean and dust-free;
②. Sight glass of the sight glass belongs to the wear parts, the installation of the sight glass should be careful and light;
③. Sight glass temperature and pressure resistance has certain limitations, please use in the specified range.
Temperature resistance: tempered borosilicate glass ≤ 180 ℃, quartz glass ≤ 1000 ℃.
Pressure resistance: tempered borosilicate glass ≤ 3.0MPa, quartz glass ≤ 10.0MPa, tempered borosilicate glass cylinder ＜1.0MPa, quartz glass cylinder ＜1.6MPa;
④. Allow rapid change of temperature ＜60℃, the glass will be ruptured due to the temperature difference, need to pay attention to maintenance.
