Welded Sight Glass, also known as flow indicator, is a device generally welded directly onto a tank or other liquid containing vessel, and allows visual observation of level, color, or clarity of a liquid in a vessel or tank. it consists of a piece of glass sandwiched between two metal flanges and two sealing gaskets. It is one of main accessories used on industrial pipeline installations.
The neck sight glass is also called pressure vessel sight glass. The difference between the neck sight glass and the normal sight glass is that there is a section of pipe at the bottom of the sight glass, which is called “neck”. The function is to separate the sealing of the sight glass from the welding port, so as to minimize the influence of welding stres
