Welded Sight Glass, also known as flow indicator, is a device generally welded directly onto a tank or other liquid containing vessel, and allows visual observation of level, color, or clarity of a liquid in a vessel or tank. it consists of a piece of glass sandwiched between two metal flanges and two sealing gaskets.
